The GSMA MWC series, formally known as Mobile World Congress, is the world’s largest exhibition dedicated primarily to the mobile industry and incorporates a thought-leadership conference featuring prominent executives representing global mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors, and content owners. Unfortunately, on 12 Feb 2020 with less than 2 weeks left before its grand opening, GSMA has cancelled MWC 2020 because of the global safety concern regarding the Coronavirus outbreak.
Bowon Hwang took responsibility as an exhibition designer at Cheil Worldwide company. She worked closely with her client Samsung Electronics IT Mobile department, as taking a significant part across the production to the managing field.
The followings were her main tasks to successfully open the exhibition:

Help build a space plan; work closely with consumer and operation strategists, clients, and international vendors to develop holistic exhibit plan

Compile research and competitive data that will be submitted to the clients to ensure client is reaching target audience

Be responsible for all levels of space design from concept planning to production

Participate in team brainstorming sessions

Design furniture and inspect its production

Design graphics for product spec boards and pop panels

Manage schedules and field using strong communication skills with stakeholders

Handle day-to-day client requests
